Destinations near Glottertal
We could take you to Furtwangen, a small town in the black forest with under 10000 inhabitants. In Furtwangen we find a small river called the Breg, which is one of two little streams that will later form the mighty Danube river. The high street invites to a small stroll in a typical black forest town.
Another option would be a visit to the abbey of Saint Peter. Re-founded in 1078 by Berthold II of Zähringen as a Benedictine Monastery the church impresses with its opulent Baroque decoration and stands for the strong catholic faith to be found throughout the Black Forest. Equally opulent is the baroque decoration in the Assumption of Mary church of St. Märgen, which is only a few miles up the road.
